Insect spreadsheet and analysis
- Open “Copy of insect data sheet” in third grade Mentorship Project folder:
- Fix spelling errors
- Make words consistent – for example: “Stink bug” should be “stink bug”
- Add Order for each specimen (example: Lepidoptera)
- Add student ID code

Use list given to Mr. Grillo
ii.
“Class” will use “3rdschool” as their ID
iii.
Karen will get the missing codes and codes for teachers
- Make a chart of the specimens to match how they are stored in the trays.
- Sort and summarize data (Karen will show how to do this) by:
- Order
- Year
- Bioblitz
- Create a map in ArcView of insect locations
